The Best Games of E3 2017

The Best Games of E3 2017

E3 2017 has come and gone and with it an abundance of announcements. In this video Will goes over some of his favorite announcements from the show. While we mostly knew what to expect, there did wind up being a few surprises here and there. Shadow of the Colossus remake and Beyond Good and Evil 2 caught most people by surprise. Als Mario and Rabbids? Who figured that would actually be awesome? But everything else was pretty much expected. God of War, Crackdown 3, Days Gone, Horizon DLC, Call of…

If you haven’t heard of it or you haven’t played it yet, come check it out! This game is really awesome and uses the old 8bit retro graphics very well. “Shovel Knight” is an awesome side scroller with some great action adventure aspects to it. You are not just going around jumping on things and killing bosses, you also have to save up…

Player Customized Fallout 4 Controller

Player Customized Fallout 4 Controller

I’m going to admit, I hesitated sharing this. It might just be another divisive post where people take a crap all over this poor person who thought this design was a great idea. Don’t get me all wrong! I think it’s a totally unique controller, even if it wasn’t an actual overhaul, but I see some immediate flaws in it that people might tear apart. I’m applauding redditor ILikeWhereThisIsGoin for sharing these pictures however. To me this is what passionate gaming is all about. It’s not my favorite design in the world, but…

What It’s Like Unboxing Import Games

What It’s Like Unboxing Import Games

Tearing plastic wrappings off of new products results in extreme satisfaction. Knowing that a new thing is officially yours to use feels great, for whatever reason science gives. It can be even more satisfying if the item unwrapped was obtained through hard work. Hardworking individuals are usually able to afford material items that bring about brief moments of happiness, pathetic as that sounds. What’s a little harder is if the item isn’t domestic, an issue I recently dealt with. I’m a fan of Journey for Playstation 3, and wanted to add the new Playstation 4 collector’s…

Destiny Welcomes Eververse Trading Co.

Destiny Welcomes Eververse Trading Co.

In an expected move by developer Bungie, Destiny now includes microtransactions. The new currency known as silver, acquired by using real world money, allows users to purchase new emotes through the “Eververse Trading Company.” Head on to the tower, and talk to Tess Everis, who is happily awaiting your patronage. If you’ve been playing the game already, you’ll find 400 silver pieces in your inventory. The newly attained currency will not let you purchase “Legendary” emotes from Tess Everis. You’ll need to spend five real world dollars to afford the most…

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Review

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Review

Uncharted games are beloved by basically anyone who owns a Playstation 3, and now a Playstation 4. The games sell well enough, and have a moderately sized fan base, if we’re being honest with ourselves. I don’t think the original games were perfect by any means, but I do see Uncharted games as having major potential for being wonderful. I’ve played the originals, and now I’ve played the Nathan Drake Collection, and I’m floored. The graphics have been completely overhauled, mimicking real life environments and occasionally entering uncanny valleys. The new compilation also…

Unique Final Fantasy VII X-Box One Controller

Redditor Chickpea has made an incredibly unique gift for their significant other. Chickpea created a custom Final Fantasy VII X-Box One controller. The device fits snug in what seems to look like an official Microsoft controller box. Over the course of the next few months, Microsoft will be releasing themed controllers. Chickpea’s custom controller below. Compare that to Microsoft’s upcoming designs below, courtesy of Amazon games. Pre-order and you’ll keep us afloat. Win-win! Wouldn’t it be totally awesome if they contracted this creator to make a few more for the masses? I know I would pick one…

The UK Understands Games Need Refunds

The UK Understands Games Need Refunds

For the past few years, developers and publishers have been releasing video games that are broken or shipping without advertised features. In every situation, retailers and publishers alike have been known to tell consumers that all sales are final. Distressed players are then stuck with a game they paid for in full that isn’t in working condition. Not one other industry allows these shady business practices. If you’re a citizen of the UK, then you’re in luck. According to The Consumer Rights Act 2015, people will be able to return or…

Customer Receives Drenched Fallout: Anthology

Customer Receives Drenched Fallout: Anthology

User VampKittin on imgur shared real pictures of a destroyed Fallout: Anthology shipment. The claim is that UPS sent the brand new product completely damaged and soaked, as if dunked in a body of water. It doesn’t seem any company has owned the responsibility yet. The picture below displays the items that are supposed to be included in the package. There’s even room for Fallout 4, for when it releases. Here’s what VampKittin received. The user’s response to all of this? “When I posted this I was simply sharing my misfortune as the…

Destiny: The Taken King Review

Destiny: The Taken King Review

I recently took the plunge back into Destiny. I couldn’t stomach the first year. With rumors of a year 2 “complete” disc being released in 2015 (it did), I chucked the game and waited for the paid-beta period to expire. Ultimately, I ended up enjoying the game when I purchased the new and improved Destiny: Legendary Edition. You can find our review for that here. Destiny: The Taken King carries over 2.0’s improvements. NPCs supply abundant quests forming a lit and active cosmos. The Taken King marks the first expansion to have…
